Tender rate for civil works revised

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has revised the tender rate for the civil works executed under the aegis of local self-government institutions from February 22.

Local Administration Minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty said in a release here on Tuesday that a 20 per cent increase had been granted in the tender rate for the construction of buildings, bridges and 10 per cent for construction of roads, solid waste management, drinking water supply and sanitary works. A 15 per cent increase had been sanctioned for digging wells, overhead tanks and electrical works in buildings.

The decision has been made on the basis of the recommendations of the committee which looked into the need for granting tender excess for civil works.
