THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Poet O.N.V. Kurup has been selected for the G. Devarajan Shaktigadha Award instituted by the music organisation, G. Devarajan Shaktigadha.
The award consists of a cash prize of Rs.10,001 and citation. Declaring the award at a press meet on Wednesday, G. Devarajan Shaktigadha president Perumbuzha Gopalakrishnan said Housing and Forest Minister Benoy Viswom would present the award to Mr. Kurup at a function to be held at VJT Hall here on March 14, to commemorate the 4th death anniversary of composer G. Devarajan. The programme would include a performance by Shadkala Pallavi and Shaktigadha Choir. A Devarajan Gananjali would also be conducted.
