IPay revision for college teachers

Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac told the Assembly on Tuesday that the government would soon take a decision on revising the pay scale of college teachers. In his reply to a question by B. Babu Prasad, he said the Centre would foot 80 per cent of the UGC package. The pay scale of college teachers was last revised on December 21, 1999, with retrospective effect from January 1, 1996, he added.



Answering a question by K.B. Ganesh Kumar, he said there was no move to grant interim relief to government employees and teachers.
