P Prabhakaran new chief secretary of state

TPURAM: The state government has decided to appoint P Prabhakaran as the new Chief Secretary of the state, said Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan.

Briefing on weekly cabinet meeting to reporters here, he said the cabinet had given its approval to give charge of Chief Secretary to Prabhakaran, as incumbent Neela Gangadharan was deputed to the Centre.

VS also said the cabinet decided to exempt stamp and registration duties on land acquired for the proposed coach factory at Palakkad.
