Train services disrupted as good train derails

TPURAM: Train services were disrupted all over the state following the derailment of a goods train between Puthukad and Irinjalakuda in Thrissur.

Five trains have been cancelled and four partially cancelled. The time of four trains has been re-scheduled.

Passengers had a tough time following the cancellation of trains and the trains which operated were delayed for hours. Passengers were stranded in many stations without knowing about the cancellation.

The goods train which derailed was carrying wheat. Crane of 140 tonne weight brought from Erode is trying to lift the wagons. Authorities hope that the train services will resume by evening.
