Thee Pottan\' best professional drama

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The play �Thee Pottan presented by Kozhikode Sangeerthana has been selected as the best professional drama for 2009.

Culture Minister M.A. Baby and Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi chairman Mukesh who announced the Kerala State professional drama awards for 2009 said that Jayan Thirumana who directed �Thee Pottan won the award for the director of the best play. �Soorya Hrudayam presented by Kannur Sangha Chetana was the second best drama. Rajeevan Mammili who directed �Kumaran Oru Kudumbanathan was adjudged the best director.

Sreedharan Neeleswaram who acted in �Vishapinte Puthran is the best male actor and Bindu Suresh who acted in �Aaranyakam is the best female actor. Radhan Kannapuram and Thombil Rajasekharan shared the award for second best male actor. Radhan won the award for his role in �Thee Pottan and Rajasekharan for his role in �Kadalolam Kanivu. Ammini Ernest won the second best female actor award for acting in �Thee Pottan.
