UPA Govt trying to scuttle PDS through ration shops, says Pinarayi
KANNUR: CPI (M) state unit Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday alleged the UPA Government at the Centre was trying to scuttle Public Distribution System (PDS) through the ration shops and recent recommendation for revising prices of rice and wheat were its evidences.
Addressing a gathering in connection with AKG Centenary Day at Caltex Junction and Deshabimani unit here, he alleged that first the UPA Government separated APL/BPL categories without any guidelines and later cut the ration quota.
He said on April 8, the CPI (M) would organise a Jail Bharo to protest against the wrong polices of the UPA Government
