KOLLAM: An accused under judicial custody escaped from the District Jail here on Wednesday morning. Raju, 34, was arrested by the Kollam East Police in January on charges of robbery and remanded in the jail.
Jail authorities had put him on kitchen duty. Early on Wednesday, he went to fetch firewood from a shed near the kitchen and escaped. Jail authorities believe him to have scaled the wall and escaped.
