TPURAM: Electricity Minister A K Balan Monday informed the state Assembly that the government has no plan to hike energy tariff in the state.
In a written reply to P K Abdurub of the IMUL, he said the government was taking various steps, including taking effective measures for increasing revenue collection and extending infrastructure facilities for new investments to improve the financial position of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB).
In the current Budget, the Finance Minister had earmarked Rs 240.66 crore towards transmission and Rs 436.90 crore for distribution, he added.
