TPURAM: Kerala government Monday reconstituted the state Sahitya Akademi and Sangeeta Nataka Akademi with novelist P Valsala and actor Mukesh as chairpersons respectively.
Valsala succeeds M Mukundan whose term as chairman of Sahitya Akademi expired recently. Poet and journalist Prabha Varma would be the new vice chairman of the Akademi, while Purushan Kadalundi would continue to be the secretary.
Film actor Mukesh was appointed chairman of the Sangeeta Nataka Akademi, while playwright K M Raghavan Nambiar was named the new vice chairman. Poet Ravunni would be the secretary of the Akademi, official sources said.
