NEW DELHI: A four member team would reach here to study the issues relating to encroachments in Munnar on 9th of this month, as per the instruction of Forest- Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh.
The four member team comprising of Forest IG Balachandran Thampi, DFO Prakrithi Srivasthava, Environmental Scientist Ullas Karanth would be headed by Bangaluru Forest Chief Conservator Shubhagga Reddy.
The team would also hold discussions with Forest, Revenue officials at Munnar so as a part of verifying the related documents.
The team after their visit to the encroachments would meet the State Forest Minister and other concerned officers at Thiruvananthapuram.
