KOCHI: The Kerala Government would invite tenders in three months to appoint global consultants for the Rs 2500 crore second phase development of Kochi Infopark, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said here Saturday.
The consultants would be appointed for taking up engineering, architecture and consulting work and to implement the second phase master plan, he said
Addressing reporters after a high-level meeting with officials at Inforpark at nearby Kakkanad, he said 1.40 lakh people would get jobs once the project was completed. The work will begin by May this year, he said.
About Rs 475 crore would be government supported funds for the project, the first phase of which is expected to be ready in three years, he said.
