Save forests, for earth and for posterity

Each World Forest Day reminds us of the magnitude of smoldering heat on the planet. The desiccated ponds and scorched and shrivelling paddy fields increase year after year. The State, till now insured from the hardships of Climate Change, is now witnessing sunburns and sunstrokes like never before.

Warnings regarding ill-effects of deforestation were many from the scientific world, but were ignored.

Deforestation is taking place at a humongous pace across the world - what was 60 percent of the earth is now around 30 percent.

This has led to a loss of rhythm of the Earth, which is dependant on the trees, rivers, biodiversity, forests and greenery.

The loss of rhythm has led to a death of over three lakh people annually from natural disasters, especially disasters connected with Climate Change.
