Newspaper office torched

KASARGODE: Office of a local evening newspaper, Karavan, in Kasargod town in north Kerala was torched by unidentified miscreants Saturday night.

Police said computers, furniture and papers in the office were gutted.

The culprits entered the office by breaking open a window, doused the premise with petrol and lit fire, police said.

According to initial assessment, Police suspect that the miscreants could have been aggrieved by some report against them.
