DYFI plans stir against former KC(J) MLAs

Kottayam: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has planned wide-spread protests in the district demanding the resignation of MLAs from Poonjar and Kaduthuruthy.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, DYFI State secretary T.V. Rajesh demanded the resignation of the former Kerala Congress (J) MLAs who had left the Left Democratic Front (LDF) after having won the Assembly elections with the front support.

Mr. Rajesh elaborated on how the involvement of religious leaders in State politics would disrupt communal harmony. The Kerala Congress (J) had left the LDF not due to any political reasons, but because of pressure from a section of religious leaders, he alleged.
