Thrissur Vimala college bags first three ranks

MALAPPURAM: Calicut University on Tuesday published the results of the B.Com examinations held in March-April two weeks ahead of the last years date.

The university thus became the first in the State to publish B.Com results.

The students of Vimala College, Thrissur, bagged the first three ranks. Jyothi D. won the first rank with 1,340 marks out of 1,500. Neenu A. Madhusudhan got the second rank with 1,337 marks and Malavika Sunil Menon won the third rank with 1,329 marks.

The students of Unity Womens College, Manjeri, won the first three ranks in the vocational stream with computer applications.

Hridya K. scored 1,230 marks to bag the first rank, while her classmates Rashida Farsath and Fariyal Fathima won the second and third ranks with 1,224 and 1,217 marks.

Out of the 24,531 students who appeared for the examinations, 6,291 qualified for further studies. When 3,999 students wrote the exam in regular stream, the number of private students to take the test was 19,681. As many as 851 students appeared through the School of Distance Education.
