Two Kasaragod youths held with fake visa

Nedumbassery: Two youths from Kasaragod who attempted to fly to South Africa on fake visas to watch the football World Cup were detained by the Immigration officials at the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery on Wednesday.

The officials said the passengers, identified as Vineeth, 22, and Mithun, 21, of Kasaragod were deported from Dubai in the morning after they were found in possession of fake South African visas. They said they had obtained the documents from one Jameez of Thrikkarippur, Kasaragod, on payment of Rs. 1 lakh. They were handed over to the local police for detailed interrogation
