City police launch redesigned web site
Kozhikode: The redesigned interactive website of the Kozhikode city police has been launched. The site www.kozhikodecitypolice.org has several features and links beneficial to the residents of the city.
The website, which has been defunct for nearly two years, is designed and developed by city-based Vedhya Technologies. Residents can log on to file complaints, submit applications for passport verification and obtain arms and mike licences online.
E-mail addresses and phone numbers of all police stations and mobile phone numbers of officers have also been posted on the site. The names of all officers have also been displayed. Residents can also put forth comments in the �suggestions link.
The new home page provides separate details on wanted persons, missing persons, unidentified dead bodies and arrested persons. Graphs of accident cases and accident death cases updated till 2009 have also been promptly displayed.
Phone numbers of nearest police station/control room (100), crime stopper (1090/2720090), womens helpline (1091/2724143), womens cell (2724420), highway alert ( 9846100100), highway patrol (9946500108), rail alert (9896200100), child helpline (1098) and SMS centre (949790000) have been given on the home page.
