THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Federation of Film Societies of India - Keralam (IFFI-Keralam) has lauded the State Government especially, Finance Minister Thomas Isaac for allotting Rs 25 lakh for strengthening film societies and another Rs 25 lakh for regional film festivals.
In a statement here on Monday, IFFI-Keralam has said that the move should be a model for the whole country and that all the film lovers and members of the film industry has warmly welcomed the decision.
The statement also said that Government support had always been important in improving the quality of cinema using digital technology and holding of contemporary film festivals at regional levels and film appreciation camps.
