Need for reorganization of YC, NSU, stressed

KOTTAYAM: National Students Union president Hybee Eden Sunday stressed the need for a reorganization of the Youth Congress alleging that many young leaders had become puppets under senior congressmen.

A reorganization was needed in Youth Congress and NSU as many young leaders have become puppets under senior leaders which adversely affect the future of the organizations, Eden said at the YC delegates meet here.

Growth of leaders from organizations like the YC and NSU was marred by the attitude of the senior leaders of the Congress who refused to move out in spite of their long terms, he said and stressed the need for taking in young leaders for strengthening the party.

The youth congress should not become (merely) a tool in the hands of congress leadership, but grow like a corrective force, he said.

Eden asked the youth organisations to unite in the fight against communal organisations.
