KOLLAM: Bangalore bound Kottarakkara deluxe bus caught fire near Dharmapuri Saturday morning killing the driver. The bus had caught fire when it collided with a halted lorry.
Dharmapuri is a place which is 80kms away from Selam .Sixteen passengers including the bus conductor sustained with burn injuries .A team of KSRTC officials have rushed to the spot.
Officials confirmed the death of the driver, K. Ajith of Kuzhimathikadu, Kundara. He belonged to Kottarakkara depot. The deluxe bus, which had started from depot Friday noon, caught fire Saturday morning around 4am.
Four among the injured were hospitalized at Dharmapuri and the rest were taken to a hospital at Selam.
