Kochi: A CBI court on Saturday remanded terror suspect T Nazir, accused in the 2006 twin Kozhikode blasts case, to judicial custody till March 11.
Nazir, who was under custody of National Investigation Agency probing terror-related cases in Kerala since February 27 for ten days, was produced before CBI Special court Ernakulam after the agency said they had completed questioning of the accused for the time being.
On February 24, Nazir, suspected LeT operative and his aide Shafaz, who were in Karnataka Police custody, were brought to Kochi from Bangalore and produced before the special court which remanded the two to judicial custody.
Earlier, this morning NIA officials took Nazir to Kizhakkambalam and surrounding areas in Ernakulam district to collect evidence. Based on the reported confession by Nazir, the NIA team along with police had raided a house at Kizhakkambalam, allegedly from where he had got explosive material.
Later, NIA officials had also interrogated the house owner
