Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said here on Wednesday that the State police would raise two companies of Special Forces commandos trained in anti-terrorist operations.
Inaugurating the newly constructed family quarters for Special Armed Battalion policemen here, Mr. Balakrishnan said the elite special weapons and tactics police units would be attached to the proposed India Reserve Battalion. The government would provide all station houses in the State with barracks for policemen. It has modernised police training in tune with the times.
