Kannur college comes under attack

KANNUR: Over 200 windowpanes of the S.E.S. College at Sreekantapuram here were smashed and windscreens of two cars parked at the nearby house of a teacher there were damaged in a pre-dawn attack on Saturday by an unidentified group barely a day after the college union election.

The attack on the cars parked on the compound of the house of college lecturer and election returning officer Jose J. Edavur raised the suspicion that the attack was linked to the college union election in which the Students Federation of India (SFI) had won all the seats except one, a repeat of the last election.
